Greater Tucson Members,

On the precipice of the election and preparing for the days to follow, I wanted to send a special message to you. Anxiety is high surrounding our election, global events, Covid -- you name it. Not knowing what the future holds can be unsettling. What I am sure of is that over the last several months, our board, volunteers, and committee chairs have worked extremely hard to educate and engage voters. We care deeply about defending democracy and empowering voters. 

What we will continue to do starting tomorrow, is reassure our membership and the community at large. We know that it may take a while to count the results and that the process needs to unfold and play out. The League has an election protection plan that will guide us through this time. If you see anything that is concerning or unusual regarding the election, please call the Election Protection Hotline at 1-866-687-8683. This will open on Election Day at 6 am and close around 8 pm after the polls close. In addition, you can email information to: voter-protection@protectdemocracy.org.

This is a very difficult time in our Nation's history – fighting to ensure our democratic principles are upheld. The League will continue to be non-partisan, thoughtful, and informed. I will send out additional updates during the coming weeks to share more details as they arise. Please continue to encourage family and friends to vote tomorrow, take a deep breath, and have faith in the system that our Founders built.
