Subject: Help us Empower Voters
From: Teresa Jenkins

HELP US EMPOWER VOTERS!

With the upcoming November election, the LWVGT is already receiving questions about
ballot measures. The League is known throughout Greater Tucson as a nonpartisan
trusted voting and election information resource and for its well-researched plain
language breakdown of ballot propositions and local ballot measures.

As part of our voter services program, we need speakers to present ballot information in
a fair and unbiased manner to voters at various locations throughout Tucson.

As a presenter, you will receive training to help you understand the facts about the ballot
measures including what voting “yes” or “no” means, thereby helping voters become
better prepared to make their own decisions about each measure.

Most presentations will occur during the months of September and October. You can
choose the presentation locations and dates that best fit your schedule. You will be
provided with all the tools that you need including a power point presentation.
“Boot Camp” training will occur via Zoom on Monday, August 26 from 6 to 7 pm.
If you are unable to attend, arrangements will be made to ensure you receive
adequate training.

If you can help us carry out this important role, please send an email to the Public
Programs Committee Chair, Teresa Jenkins, at programs@lwvtucson.com.

Thank you for helping voters prepare for the November election.
