Candidate & Issue Forums
Candidate and Issue Forums
Prior to local and statewide elections, the League of Women Voters of Greater Tucson (LWVGT) sponsors public forums, often in conjunction with other nonpartisan community organizations.
Two types of programs are offered, and they may be in-person community events or virtual:
Candidate Forums
for specific elected positions, where the candidates share their views and experience on relevant topics; and
Issue Forums
, where ballot propositions or referendums are explained and discussed.
The League is considered a leader in this important election function based on our extensive experience in conducting forums and our reputation for being fair and objective. LWVGT
also offers
training workshops
for those who want to conduct their own forums.
