The League of Women Voters of Greater Tucson (LWVGT) produces several widely-used publications aimed at promoting voting and informing voters. All are nonpartisan (not promoting any candidate or political party) and free to the public. These are the League's main publications:
A Guide to Voting in Pima County (2020) is a concise brochure in English and Spanish that covers important information about registering to vote and voting in Pima County. The Guide is a reliable, up-to-date resource produced in cooperation with the Pima County Recorder's Office. It is particularly useful for new voters.
A Citizen's Directory of Elected Officials (2021) is a booklet that lists elected officials who represent Pima County residents at all levels of government, along with their contact information and other information useful to voters. The Directory is updated annually, after the November General Election and before February 1.
Know Your Pima County Government (2018) is a citizen's handbook with useful information about municipal, county, and tribal governments that is a must for new residents. It is updated every few years.
Copies of the Guide to Voting in Pima County and A Citizen's Directory of Elected Officials are available at Pima County public libraries, through some partner organizations, and through the League office. They are also posted on the LWVGT website. The Know your Pima County Government handbook is posted on the website only.
