The Emerge Center Against Domestic Abuse and the League of Women Voters partnered together to raise the funds for the new equipment. A photo of injuries used to be all that police could work with to gather evidence against a perpetrator. Now, prosecutors will have a chance to show what lurks under the surface through a special light source that highlights bruises from strangulation.
