| | | Why Are Our Bylaws So Important?
An organization's bylaws provide the structure and framework for how the organization (in this case LWVGT) conducts its business. Prospective members should be asked to read the League’s Bylaws prior to joining League, to affirm their commitment, especially to the League’s Purpose and Policies. Bylaws should be updated regularly to be sure they reflect current operations and are in conformity with National Bylaws. While the Board makes decisions on our behalf in many areas, the Bylaws are so important that the general membership has a say in suggesting changes and voting on them.
Every year, LWVGT members are encouraged to review our Bylaws to see if changes should be made. Any member may suggest changes to the Bylaws. Suggestions from members and the Board are reviewed by the Bylaws Committee, submitted to the Board for its recommendation and voted on by the general membership at the Annual Meeting in April. If you would like to suggest a change to the Bylaws or if you would like to participate on the Bylaws Committee, please send an email to the Bylaws Committee: bylaws@lwvtucson.com | |

| Calling for Democracy
Help ensure that every AZ Voter can vote a full ballot.
Tens of thousands of Arizonans are at risk of losing full voting rights after being placed on the Documentary Proof of Citizenship (DPOC) list, which limits them to Federal-only ballots. The League of Women Voters of Arizona has partnered with One Arizona to notify affected voters and help them check their registration status before the next election. We need YOUR help through phone banking.
