Speaker Daniel Jurkowitz, Assistant Chief Civil Deputy, Pima County Attorney’s Office, Civil Division, will talk about Arizona Election Laws.
Our general meeting will include information about Issues & Eggs, Tucson Festival of Books, and the Annual Meeting.
A light lunch with tea and lemonade will be available.

RTA Executive Director, Mike Ortega, and former Pima County Deputy County Administrator, John Bernal, retired, will share the history of the last twenty years of RTA and where it will go in the next twenty years.

  • JOIN THE PUBLIC PROGRAMS COMMITTEE: Help develop programs for voters concerning the most important issues of the day from a nonpartisan perspective.

  • JOIN THE MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE: Help plan LWVGT Social Events for members

  • JOIN THE  EVENTS AND FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE

  • BE A FRIEND TO A NEW MEMBER

  • GOOD & WELLNESS efforts: (2 - 4 hours per month). It involves getting information about life events of import regarding our LWVGT members along with people in our community.

  • NEWSLETTER: Two volunteers to create/edit the weekly TWGT newsletter on a rotating schedule.

  • EVENTS PROMOTION: Volunteer to post our public events on community calendars.

  • PUBLIC RELATIONS: Volunteer to help publicize our work and events with the media and community by posting to community calendars and sending to news outlets.

  • GRAPHICS: Volunteer to create digital flyers for public programs and forums, using existing designs in the graphics design tool Canva.

The Water Below: A Community Dialogue

Curious about current groundwater in communities across the Verde Valley? Concerned about future capacity to serve Northern Arizona's rural cities and towns? Concerned about businesses coming here that need water -- Data Centers? Verde Valley relies on groundwater and many private and public wells withdraw from the aquifer.

 

Join the League of Women Voters of Northern Arizona in a focused conversation to examine the critical issue of groundwater management with guest speakers:
