Across the country, new barriers, both visible and subtle, are making it harder for communities to vote. From voter roll purges and strict documentation requirements, to disinformation targeting Latino, Black, and immigrant communities, the integrity and accessibility of our elections are being tested.

We invite you to join “Defending The Vote: Secretaries of State on the Front Lines of American Democracy”, a timely national conversation on what it will take to protect access to the ballot ahead of the 2026 elections.

This urgent conversation will bring together leading voices in election administration, law, and civil rights to unpack what’s at stake and what must be done now to safeguard our democracy.

Your voice and participation matter more than ever.

The board of the League of Women Voters of Greater Tucson announces that

our Annual Membership Meeting will be held

Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 8:30 am -12:30 pm

at the Junior League of Tucson, 2099 E River Rd, Tucson, 85718.

Registration is $35 and includes breakfast, beverages and snacks. In addition to conducting the business of the LWVGT outlined below, we will hear from a special surprise guest speaker.

Registration closes Friday, April 17th at 5 PM.

Membership Meeting attendees shall:

(i) Adopt the local Public Policy Positions for the ensuing year.

(ii) Elect Board Officers and Directors as required.

(iii) Elect the Chair and two non-Board members of the Nominating Committee.

(iv) Adopt an appropriate budget.

(v) Review the Bylaws as presented by the committee.

(vi) Transact such other business as may properly come before it.
