State House and Senate
Meet the Candidates of Legislative District 17 and 20!

Wednesday, June 10, 2026 | 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
CFSA Campus 5409 E. Broadway Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85711

Your vote. Your voice. Your candidates.

Mark your calendar: The Arizona Luminaria and Tucson Spotlight are once again bringing together candidates and community for a nonpartisan meet-and-greet on June 10, 2026, covering state house and senate races in Legislative Districts 17 and 20. Supported by Press Forward Southern Arizona, an initiative of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona.

Politics doesn’t have to feel distant. This event is designed to close the gap, putting candidates in the same room as the people they want to represent, with no scripts, no spin, and no moderator filtering your questions.

Show up. Ask something. Listen. Then vote like you mean it.

Free and open to the public, but an RSVP is required for admission. Space is limited. RSVP soon to reserve your spot! Guests who have not RSVP’ed will not be admitted.

LWVAZ is supporting two citizen ballot initiatives to change the Arizona Constitution. For more information about these petitions, please follow the links listed here:

We are collecting signatures to place these measures on our ballot in November. Local LWV-ers are integral to this effort, and we hope you will help gather signatures. You may now sign out petitions at the LWVGT office, gather signatures, get them notarized and return them to LWVGT office, and we will get them to the respective campaigns. Contact the office to find out when notaries will be available. You can also ask your local bank if they have notaries available for its members. The deadline for returning the petitions to the office is the end of June.

For guidance about how to collect signatures, please review this short training video:
