Jeffrey Magadanz | Our League Heroes
What makes a hero? Someone who goes above and beyond for the greater good. What makes a LWVGT hero? Someone who goes above and beyond all the time for our League. Because their work is often behind the scenes, we don’t always know what our League Heroes do. Once a month, TWGT will feature one of these outstanding individuals to give you a snapshot of their important contributions. | Summer LWVGT Heroes
Sharin Manion and Pat Markey
Summer is vacation time, and that means fewer people to keep everything going. Although TWGT is issued less frequently during the summer, it's still very important to keep League members informed of all of the activities and events. That's especially true this year--a critical election year. We are so grateful that Sharin Manion and Pat Markey, who also help run the LWVGT Office, agreed to take over creating the summer issues of This Week in Greater Tucson. That is a lot of work! As Desk Volunteers, they were already familiar with what goes into creating the newsletter. But they volunteered to learn everything else about it. We appreciate their efforts to keep LWVGT moving forward during the slowest time of the year and making sure we all stay well informed. Kudos and thank you both. | Securing The Ballot
