The League of Women Voters' Observer Corps represents a fundamental principle of the League: that a democratic government needs to be open and citizens need to be informed about governmental processes and decisions.
The Observer Corp of the League of Women Voters of Greater Tucson regularly observes and reports on meetings of the Pima County Board of Supervisors, the Tucson City Council, and the Tucson Commission on Equitable Housing and Development. It has recently also begun to observe and report on the meetings of the boards of Tucson Unified School District and Pima Community College.
