Bills Affecting Polling Places Raise Concerns

House Bill 2547 would prohibit the Board of Supervisors of a county from authorizing the use of voting centers. It also repeals the statute allowing the County Recorder to establish on-site early voting locations. Similarly, SB 1286 would remove the authority of county Boards of Supervisors to use voting centers in place of specifically designated polling places.
